Your exit plan.
Work through it one step at a time. Find the programs that cover you, follow their requirements, and keep every confirmation. The emails and letters here help you make the ask. Your saved progress is your record — BanMyself can't verify enrollment on your behalf.
Great job!This is huge progress.
You've recorded an outcome for every step on this list. Keep the operator confirmations and continue your support plans.
Personalize your plan.
We include the broad programs in this plan and all researched contacts for your selected states. Add places you might gamble, even if you rarely visit. Coverage varies by program; no single program covers everything. Changing this list keeps your saved work.
Select additional states. We keep these in your plan; selecting a state does not mean we have researched its programs.
These are statuses you recorded. Delivery does not establish enrollment. Follow up with the program for confirmation.
Your details, choices and program progress save in this browser. Add ID photos again after closing or reloading the page. A handoff link contains your personal details and progress; share it only with someone you trust.
Call Caesars about self-exclusion
If this place is part of your gambling, use the call to ask how to enroll. Find out what's required and how you'll know the exclusion is active.
- Call Caesars about self-exclusion"I want to enroll in your self-exclusion program. Please explain the terms, required steps and how I'll receive confirmation."Review the program's current policy and choose the term that fits your decision.
Enroll in the programs that cover you.
Different states and operators have different programs. Check which ones apply before you enroll. Complete each program's required steps and keep the confirmation.
- NVSEP — find your state's programsReview the current state and operator list.
- Check prediction-market self-exclusionReview participating platforms and the term you choose.
Block gambling on your devices.
Choose a blocker that works on your devices; the options below are alternatives. Ask someone you trust to help. If you set up device restrictions with a passcode, have them keep it.
- Review Gamban for your devicesCheck the devices it supports, current subscription price and any sponsored access you qualify for. Install it on the devices you use for gambling and check the restrictions with someone you trust.
- Review BetBlocker FreeRead the device instructions and fixed restriction periods before activating a block. Choose a period deliberately and check that the restrictions work on your device.
- Phone lockdown (Screen Time / Family Link)Ask someone you trust to help set device restrictions and keep the passcode. Review app installs and website restrictions together. Available controls depend on the device and account setup.
Call your bank and cards.
Use the number on your card or bank statement. Ask about gambling blocks and spending limits. What's available varies by bank. Write down what they can actually apply — and what they can't.
- Call your bank"Do you offer a gambling-merchant block or other spending limits on my account and debit card? What would they cover, and how can I confirm they're active?"Availability varies by bank. Ask about cash withdrawals, transfers and transactions the block cannot identify. Keep the bank's answer with your plan.
- Call each credit card — same ask"Can you block gambling transactions or disable cash advances on this card? Please explain the available limits and how I can confirm them."Check each card separately. A completed call does not mean a block was available or activated.
Freeze your credit.
A credit freeze makes it harder to open new accounts in your name. It doesn't affect your score. Follow each bureau's instructions and keep the confirmation.
What a freeze covers
A freeze restricts access to your consumer file. It does not close existing accounts, and exceptions apply. It cannot guarantee that every lender will refuse credit. Keep your access details. Enter sensitive information only on the bureau's own site or required form.
Security freezes at Equifax, Experian and TransUnion are free.
- Freeze Clarity Services FreeA specialty consumer-reporting service. Check its current freeze instructions and keep the confirmation.
- Freeze DataX Free
- Freeze Teletrack Free
- Freeze FactorTrust Free
- OptOutPrescreen — 5 years FreeStops pre-approved credit offers landing in your mailbox.
- Make a plan for managing your freezesKeep recovery details somewhere secure. Talk with a trusted person about getting support before lifting a freeze to borrow money.
Send the emails.
These drafts ask each operator for enrollment instructions. Review the recipient and the text, then send. Where an official form is linked, follow its signature and ID requirements. Opening a draft doesn't attach the form, and the email alone doesn't enroll you.
Mail the letters.
Start with the operator's current instructions. The printed letters ask for those instructions; they're not enrollment forms. Confirm the receiving department and address before mailing. Send ID copies only when a verified program requires them. Some forms require notarization.
Mailing labels use the Avery 5160 layout and follow your letter selection.
Invited to test assisted delivery? Open the protected preview. It uses synthetic documents and does not import your plan or ID photos.
- Check whether your selected forms require ID copiesOnly use this helper if a verified program asks for a copy. It prints one ID-copy sheet; add the back only if required, and choose the number of copies in your print dialog. The photos stay in this page's memory until you close or reload it. They are never uploaded by this page.
Watch for replies.
Keep every confirmation in one folder. Check the covered places, term length and effective date. Set your own follow-up reminders, and record replies here as they arrive.
- Complete and return each program's required formsFollow the current instructions for signatures, identification, notarization and the receiving department. Ask for help if a requirement is unclear.
- Keep every written confirmation in one folderCheck the covered properties or products, selected term, effective date and any next steps. Follow up on missing or rejected applications.
- Put the follow-ups on your calendarChoose a weekly check-in and include follow-up dates from your program records. Download the calendar file, then import it into your calendar to activate reminders. Event titles contain no names or gambling details. Recorded expiry dates add a review reminder 14 days before the exclusion ends.
You don't have to do this alone.
Look for a meeting or counselor you feel comfortable with. Tell someone you trust what you're trying to change. Let them know about the plan and how they can help.
- Sit in one Gamblers Anonymous meeting this week FreeIn person, online, or by phone — any meeting, any state. First time: just go and listen; nobody makes you talk. If picking one feels hard, call the hotline and they'll find you one.
- Prefer a gospel-centered room? Addiction Recovery Program FreeThe Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints runs free 12-step recovery meetings — in person and virtual, open to anyone, member or not. Same road, walked with faith.
- Tell one person what you did todayThe plan works best when someone you trust knows it exists — and holds the passcodes and PINs.
